School Uniform

At Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School, our uniform is much more than simply the clothes our children wear. It is a visible expression of our school community and reflects the values that underpin everything we do. Wearing our uniform gives children a sense of belonging, pride and shared identity, reminding them that they are part of something much bigger than themselves.

A smart and consistent uniform helps to foster high expectations, promotes equality and encourages children to take pride in both their appearance and their conduct. We are proud of our distinctive uniform and the positive message it conveys both within school and beyond our gates.

From September 2026, our Uniform Policy has been updated in line with Government requirements, reducing the number of compulsory branded items whilst maintaining the smart and distinctive appearance of our pupils.

For Reception to Year 6, the compulsory branded items are:

School jumper or cardigan
School tie
School book bag (Reception to Year 2) or school backpack (Years 3 to Year 6)

For Nursery, the compulsory branded items are:

School polo shirt
School tracksuit top
School book bag

Branded versions of a number of other uniform items continue to be available. Families may choose either branded or plain alternatives for these items; however, plain items should match the colour, shade and style of the equivalent school uniform item.

Our PTA regularly organises pre-loved uniform sales throughout the year, providing families with the opportunity to purchase good-quality uniform at reduced cost.
